Terms of Sale and Use
Last updated 10 September 2026
The short version: you are buying permanent reading access to one edition on this site, for yourself, with a single payment and no subscription. The rest of this page is the detail.
Who you are contracting with
This site is operated by Think Heart Apps AB (“we”). The books are published under the pen name Alex Brandt. By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these terms.
What you are buying
A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read one edition on this site, tied to your account. You are not buying the copyright, and this is not a downloadable file — access is through this website.
The two editions are separate products, sold and priced separately: Texting: Men's Edition at $11.99, and Texting: Women's Edition at $11.99. Buying one does not give you the other. Chapter 1 of each is free to read without an account.
Prices are shown on the relevant page at the time of purchase and may change for future buyers; a change never affects an edition you have already bought.
Payment
Payment is a single charge taken through Stripe. There is no subscription and nothing recurring. Your card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach us. Your edition unlocks once Stripe confirms the payment, usually within seconds.
Prices are shown inclusive of any VAT due in your country. VAT on digital sales is charged at your local rate and shown before you confirm.
How long your access lasts
Your purchase does not expire, and we will not put an edition you have bought behind a further charge.
Because this is hosted access rather than a file you keep, we cannot promise the site will run forever. If we ever discontinue it we will email everyone who has purchased at least 90 days beforehand, and make a downloadable copy of your edition available for the whole of that period, so you keep what you paid for.
Refunds
If the site fails to give you the access you paid for, tell us and we will fix it or refund you in full.
Beyond that, you can have a full refund for any reason within 14 days of purchase. You do not have to explain why, and it does not matter how much you have read. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten working days.
We could have asked you to waive your statutory right of withdrawal at checkout in exchange for immediate access, as EU law allows for digital content. We have chosen not to. Your rights under Swedish and EU consumer law apply in full and in addition to anything on this page.
A refund ends your access to that edition. If you later want it back, buy it again.
Refund requests go to texting@thinkheart.co from the address on your account.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account. An account is for one person. Sharing credentials so others can read an edition they have not bought is a breach of these terms.
What you may not do
The text of these books is copyright. You may not:
- Copy, republish, post, or redistribute chapters, in whole or in substantial part.
- Resell, sublicense, or transfer your access.
- Scrape or bulk-download the content, by any automated means.
- Remove or obscure attribution, or present the writing as your own.
Quoting a short passage with attribution — in a review, or a conversation about the book — is fine and welcome.
We may suspend an account that is redistributing the books or attempting to circumvent the paywall. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will contact you first.
What these books are, and are not
These are books of general advice about communication, dating, and relationships, based on the author's perspective. They are not psychological, medical, or legal advice, and nothing in them is a substitute for professional help. Outcomes in your own relationships are your own; we do not promise results.
They discuss adult topics, including sexual communication, and are intended for readers aged 18 or over.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service — it may go down for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may also correct, revise, or expand the text of a book; you get the current version, and revisions are included at no extra cost.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Sweden, and the Swedish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, nor of the right to bring a claim there.
Talk to us first — most things are settled by email. If we cannot agree, consumers in Sweden can refer the matter free of charge to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se), whose decisions we follow. Consumers elsewhere in the EU can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
