You have reached the end of the book, but the useful part happens away from these pages. It happens the next time you want to reply to a story, restart a thread with someone you met, or send a first message without rehearsing it for twenty minutes.

Keep the principles simple. Be curious about the person in front of you. Give them something real to answer. Add your own view instead of conducting an interview. Let humor come from the conversation, not from a need to impress. When you are interested, make a clear invitation. When the interest is not returned, leave with grace.
